The communities around Bwindi Impenetrable National park in close proximity to the mountain gorillas are some of the country’s poorest and most isolated communities living in poverty or face with dire circumstances and have no way of providing adequate food, medicine or education for their children. These children at a risk of disease, malnutrition, lack of adequate food that would pose threat to mountain gorillas and their habitat through poaching in such of food, firewood and medicinal herbs where gorillas fall victims as non-target animals.
We aim at empower children and their families through Sustainable Agriculture and vocational skills development as to enhance conservation of mountain gorillas and other wildlife around Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
